Website registration (AEM website)
Please fill in all required information in order to complete the registration. The full name and username is required for each requested editor and the publisher (website owner) in order to receive access to the website.
Note: We strive to provide websites as quickly as possible. However, there are times when there are large numbers of requests, such as semester starts. During these times, it can take two to three weeks to receive a protosite.
For new professors requesting websites before an official start date: We can issue a protosite, but your contact and organizational information will need to be in the People database and the Organizational database in order for a website to go live, because the site name and many components rely on ETH database information being complete.
Guidelines for receiving an AEM website
As a general guideline, AEM websites can only be issued for:
- Official units as defined in the ETH organizational database
- Official study programms
- Conferences where ETH is in the lead
Project websites are only issued for those where a website is required by the grant funding the project and will have 'Project:' added to the site name for clarification of website type. All other project information should remain on a research group's official website.
For other website needs, IT Services offers Wordpress for ETH members. See minimum guidelines for external websites.
Timing for websites
It is not possible to schedule a definitive go live date due to limited resources in both the CC web team and IT Services. Therefore, when trying to estimate a preferred time for go live from your side:
- Allow up to two and a half weeks for quality check feedback.
- Allow time for possible changes required as a result of the quality check feedback.
- Allow at least a week for the go live time from IT Services side.
Thank you for registering!
As soon as your protosite has been generated, you will receive an email with information about how to access your protosite and other important information.
Depending on the number of requests, it could take up to two weeks to receive the protosite email.
Best regards,
HK Web Team
