This course is the second part of the Git course trilogy.

Git is the state-of-the-art version control system, taking away the pain of continuously changing file versions. Keep track of who changed what, when and why, and revert changes easily.

GitLab allows you to save the files to the cloud, giving you a secure backup location and enabling easy collaboration. Never lose your files again, and coordinate changes in even bigger projects.

Git is a very powerful tool for managing and collaborating on large projects. In this course you will understand how to operate Git and know all the most frequently used concepts of Git. Afterwards you will be able to manage your own first projects with Git.
  • What is Git (Repetition)
  • Basic Concepts (Repetition + Exercises)
  • Branching (+ Exercises)
  • Merging (+ Exercises)
  • .gitignore (+ Exercises)
  • No knowledge requirement
  • Having Git installed and configured
  • Having GitLab setup with an ssh Key
  • Laptop + Charger

If you have skipped the “Git Crash Course” or haven’t fully installed the Git and GitLab, don’t worry. We have a lot of helpers that will gladly help you but in contrast to the “Git Crash Course” we won’t go over the installation process as a whole.
