Albert Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics a century ago. To mark this occasion, ETH Zurich has brought its most famous alumnus to life digitally. At 20 October, ¡°Digital Einstein¡± will take up residence in ETH¡¯s 2024Å·ÖÞ±­¿ª»§_Å·ÖÞ±­APPÏÂÔØ-Ͷע|¹ÙÍø Info H?nggerberg for one week.

The most capable geotechnical research centrifuge in Europe is currently being built on the H?nggerberg campus. It will enable researchers to simulate geotechnical structures, such as foundations, dams and tunnels, and the effects of natural hazards, such as earthquakes, landslides, flooding and tsunamis. The centrifuge itself was installed on Wednesday with meticulous precision.

But not much will change as a result, he says. Even after stepping down from ETH, he intends to continue pursuing his global vision of an open city.

ETH Zurich is planning a phased infill development of its H?nggerberg location. The vision is of an attractive campus with a city neighbourhood feel, combining teaching, research, and knowledge transfer with space to relax and socialise. The special building regulations are now open to the local public for feedback. The city of Zurich has thus fulfilled the legal and planning requirements for the further development of the campus.
